Top 5 England Kits to Wear for 2026 World Cup

The World Cup is right around the corner; you know what that means…time to get your best shirt out ready for the beer gardens, watch party, or to go to a game if you’re lucky enough. It’s also a great excuse to bag yourself a new kit to watch in, so I’ve put together a list of the top 5 England shirts you should be wearing this summer.
1993–95 Home
A proper throwback and still a favourite for many fans. The thing that really makes this one for me is the collar with the simple design — there’s just something about a retro collared shirt that instantly feels classic. The design keeps things nice and simple, but that’s part of the charm. It’s clean, timeless, and perfect for showing your England pride when the World Cup rolls around.
1996 Away
This one barely needs an introduction. Widely considered one of the greatest England football shirts ever, and it’s still hugely popular today. Whether you want to bag an original or go for one of the modern remakes, you’ll be in good company wearing the 96 away shirt this summer. And honestly, if you don’t already own one… why not? Now might be the perfect excuse to sort that out before the tournament kicks off.
1997–99 Home

A slightly different look compared to some of the more traditional England shirts, which is exactly why it stands out. The side panels give it a unique edge, while the centrally placed badge adds a bit of understated class. And yes — another collar, which is always a win in my book. Sometimes these simpler, older kits just hit the mark better than some of the modern designs.
2004 Away
This one gets an honorary shout from me because it was actually my first ever England shirt — naturally with Beckham on the back. I’ve always had a soft spot for England’s red away kits, and this one is still my go-to choice for the big games. It’s got that perfect mix of nostalgia and style. Definitely an oldie, but still a goldie.
2026 Home & Away
Strong kits for a strong team—Nike have really nailed these ones. There’s a nice nod to the ‘97 classic with those side panels, but they both still feel modern. You’ve got the timeless crisp white for the home, paired with that bold, classic red away—but with extra detailing that stops it from feeling too plain. The return of the star above the badge is a great touch too, adding a bit of optimism for lions heading into the tournament. All in all, sharp, confident looks—definitely winning shirts to be sporting this summer.
